Gum Recontouring with a Soft Tissue Laser

Using a soft tissue, non-ablative laser to recontour gums is a common and mild procedure to raise the gum line and show more of your teeth when you smile. During treatment, you will receive a topical and a local anesthetic to numb the area. Once the area is numb, your dental professional will use a laser to shape your gums. Lasers are a patient favourite, thanks to the heat that will immediately seal the blood vessels for a quick and clean procedure with a short recovery time. With this minimally invasive procedure, you will be ready to flash your new smile in no time.

Cosmetic Injections

In some cases, a gummy smile may be fixed with cosmetic injections. When a gummy smile is the result of hypermobility of the upper lip, the lip raises too far above the teeth. The result is a smile that shows too much of the gums, making teeth appear smaller.
