Children’s Dentistry Epping, Wollert, South Morang, Melbourne
When it comes to dental health, children have very special needs and requirements. Dr Zina and her staff at Northern Dental Design are experienced and prepared to offer your young family members a comfortable and caring environment with everything they need to help them feel at ease.
Children’s dentistry is our specialty. Our young patients receive the appropriate care for their age while learning the important skills of dental hygiene and health. Our caring staff understands that your child’s dental appointments will set the tone for life when it comes to oral health. That’s why we strive to create positive experiences when they are young, so they do not develop a fear of the dentist. Treating our young patients with compassion and care sets them up for a lifetime of healthy smiles.
What is Unique About Children’s Dentistry?
We offer a friendly and clean environment where your child will feel safe before, during and after their dental visit. They can sit with you or enjoy the children’s play area with toys and books while they wait. We have a PlayStation to keep older kids happy and you can relax and observe them through the window while you enjoy a quiet drink.
The many benefits of children’s dentistry are also what makes it unique. Children who are familiar with the dentist have less fear and anxiety and more confidence in taking part in their oral health. Dr Zina and her experienced team provide the skills and education in a fun and unique way to protect your child’s oral health. Here are just some of the benefits that make paediatric dentistry unique:

Get Ready for Your Child’s First Exam
Read children’s books to them about the dentist, such as Sammy the Centipede Goes to the Dentist before your child’s appointment

Paediatric and Children’s Dentistry
We offer braces and Invisalign to help children who need their teeth straightened. And when the need for these services is caught early, treatment time is shorter, with a lower cost. If your child has other needs like dental fillings or crowns, early detection makes treatment less painful. We enjoy working with our young patients and getting to know them, which helps us see problems when they first begin.
Child Dental Benefits Schedule
The Australian Government’s Child Dental Benefits Scheme covers the partial or full cost of basic dental treatments for your child or teen.
To access the benefits your child must be between the ages of 2 and 17 years, be eligible for Medicare and be receiving an eligible Centrelink payment, or have a parent who is receiving an eligible payment.
